A dog’s reactions to grooming can vary. Some dogs have no trouble getting groomed. But overall, most dogs don’t like getting groomed. Getting their feet and their mouth touched makes some dogs panic. For example, a small Pomeranian named Titus showed his dislike of having his teeth brushed when she saw her owner with a toothbrush.
Titus’ owner uploaded a TikTok video showing Titus’ reaction to seeing a toothbrush. The TikTok video begins with a frame of a toothbrush, dog toothpaste, and fresh breath spray. A hand reaches to grab the toothbrush and apply toothpaste. The video continues; Titus lies on the bed and watches his owner enter the room with a toothbrush. Next, we see Titus stand up and watch the toothbrush with apprehension. Titus slowly walks over to the farthest side of the bed and sits with his back to his owner. A hand holding the toothbrush moves closer to Titus, and Titus gives the toothbrush side-eye. The video ends with the toothbrush nearing Titus’ face, and he turns away slightly.

Titus’ reaction made me laugh. So cute. He did not want to get his teeth brushed. Poor Titus. He knows what is coming next, a good toothbrushing.

You might need different means, like Greenies.” And @tituspom replied, “We try to do it once per night, and we also do give him a dental bone every day. Not greenies, but a different brand.”
